Now that I have started working again, I really don’t get to be fancy all that often.  The holiday season does allow for the fanciness to shine through though.  My mom, dad, and I went to opening night of the musical Big Fish at the Playhouse Theater.  It is a nice intimate theater, and we were in the back row of the whole place and I could see just fine, which is exciting as a short person.

Big Fish is the story of a father and son who have a tumultuous relationship because the father tells so many stories the son doesn’t know what’s true anymore.  It’s a beautiful story and if you are interested there is the book version and the film version, starring Ewan McGregor.  The film makes me ugly cry every time, I never get sick of it.  This musical was a interesting change of pace, and had some great musical numbers. The musical isn’t running long, so if you can snag tickets I would highly recommend it!  You have until December 11, 2016 to see it, get tickets here.

My outfit was inspired by jewels.  My new hair color, if you were curious, is called Garnet, and my dress is velvet Amethyst.  I should have worn a nylon so the purple would have popped more, but it was chilly so I opted for thick tights.  The jacket was a gift from my Naila Auntie as well in Pakistan, and it’s a sequined bomber jacket, which I’m currently obsessed with, you’ll be seeing this jacket in so many looks.  I accessorized with a gold choker, silver rings, my go-to holographic boots, and metallic lips.
