So as you can tell, this shirt if the greatest most niche creation I own. It is in reference to Bill Murray’s character Steve Zissou from the Wes Anderson film, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, and David Bowie’s stage persona Ziggy Stardust. While riding to Pitchfork a girl on the bus in front of us had a patch on her jacket that was the same as the shirt. I asked her where she got it, a company called Sad Truth Supply, and low and behold, they were one of the vendors at Pitchfork! I saw the shirt and purchased it as soon as I saw it.
I was feeling like I wanted a simply look so I went for a jeans and t-shirt. To add more drama I broke up the simplicity with my turban, and bright red platform boots. Jeans and a tee will never go out of style, so adding in bolder shoes and accessories allows for them to be highlighted in a look, rather than drowned out by other pieces. So if you have a rather neon pair of shoes, a crazy hat or headpiece, or even a huge statement necklace, this look is great to feature them.
